I’m sure the word “goddess” makes you think of something, what that “something” is I can only guess. For me, the word goddess signifies how a woman should FEEL about herself.
- You have a right to feel amazing!
- You have a right to look at yourself with love, gratitude, and grace!
- You have a right to imagine yourself powerful, beautiful, and creative!
- A vibrant goddess is an empowered woman who feels confident in her abilities; emotionally grounded and connected to her true self; physically strong, healthy, and content in her own skin!
We are women! Women have ridiculous abilities – without women the human race would not continue to survive. Women’s bodies can grow, birth, and nourish babies. We bring life into the world – both physically and emotionally. Women can nurture and care for people in a way that no other species can. We can multi-task, feed, protect, provide, and teach those around us. You are a goddess because you are a woman!
But there’s an epidemic sweeping the globe, it’s been happening for a while now. Women are losing touch with their inner goddess, they don’t think of themselves as beautiful, powerful, creative or life-giving! We have become disconnected and isolated, fearful and overwhelmed. There are physical, cultural, spiritual, and psychological reasons that keep us women from seeing our vibrant goddess self! I want to break down some of those road blocks and help women get in touch with their inner goddess again.
Now, how do I break down some of those modern roadblocks? Finding your inner goddess is a process of working in layers, only working on what is most urgent and then going from there. First step is to get your body functioning better. When you improve how your body works you can better handle stress, manage your emotions, and create positive energy in your life. For example, improving your digestive function will improve your absorption of nutrients. When nutrients are absorbed your body can better utilize them and something amazing happens! Your organs receive clear instruction and can perform well – your hormones can work better, your brain can think more clearly, your sleep is deep and restorative, your resistance to stress is increased, and life is more enjoyable overall. I help your body improve its function through nutritional therapy (food is at the center of your recovery), supplements, functional lab testing (test don’t guess), and lifestyle management!
While we’re working on improving your physical function (which is determined by your symptoms and personal health goals) we will work to uncover behavior patterns that are not serving you – thought patterns, expectations, and belief systems, for example. I will give you worksheets and journaling assignments to help facilitate this process. While I’m not a psychologist or expert in mental health, I can help bring awareness to unhealthy behavior patterns that are impacting your health. Understanding how these behaviors influence your physical health can be the key that catapults you forward!
Finding your inner goddess can take time, but it is worth the work. Because healing comes in layers, the journey to finding improved health and well-being can feel like a roller coaster. Healing one aspect or improving some symptoms can reveal a deeper layer of issues that needs to be addressed. This is not something to fear or see as a “failure.” Your body is amazing and when given the right nutrients, tools and resources it can lead you on an amazing journey. Your main priority should be to remain open and receptive to healing! Sometimes there will be issues that I cannot help you with, as I make sure to only stick to what I know and not take on something that’s out of my “jurisdiction.” I have a wide range of health practitioners that I can refer to, and I am open to working with other practitioners in your life.
